Hi all;
I purchased a Business Select fare and expected my Companion to receive a consecutive boarding assignment. I have searched through the online terms and conditions and can't find text indicating this scenario. I also looked through other discussions and see others have stated that the purchase of a Business Select fare does not receive the consecutive assignment for the companion but I'd just like to see where the text is located. Anyone have a correct link?
Appreciate it.
I found it @thorny :

Upgraded boarding gives you access to spots A1- A15. Those sspots are only available for sale so your companion would not automatically get a sequential spot next to yours. You'd have to buy it.

This is the only annoying thing I have found with travel funds - when you rebook a flight more than once when the price goes down, each adjustment / credit is its own fund. IMO, if you're adjusting the same flight multiple times, it should all go towards the same fund / reservation number so you can use it all in one go.

I just changed a flight and it gave me the difference in fare credit. the only difference right now that I notice is if your flight is in April or May you will get the message provided above by the middleseat you would click the flight you want it would show the word available (no price will be shown) once you click continue after selecting the flight you want you should then either see a credit if the price is cheaper or a $0 balance since the difference in fare is waived.

Yes! You do not have to keep the points in your account to qualify for the companion pass. You just have to earn the required points in the calendar year. I don't think I have paid for a Southwest ticket for years (thanks to credit card signup bonuses and credit card spending). I also frequently dip below the companion pass level, but again- you just have to earn the points, they do not have to stay in your account. I have spoken to many people who mistakenly believe those 110,000 points are accumulated to "buy" the companion pass.
