Southwest Airlines will return for its fourth year as the presenting sponsor of Luck Reunion, a boutique music festival hosted on Willie Nelson’s Luck, Texas ranch. The event cultivates the evolution of celebrating American Roots by introducing new artists to its stage each year. In partnership with Luck, the Southwest: On The Rise to Luck program gives one rising artist the chance to perform a set on the main stage at Luck Reunion.
Southwest uses its music platform, Southwest.fm, to support up-and-coming artists through the Artist On The Rise program. The Southwest: On The Rise to Luck competition is giving three talented artists from some of Southwest’s key markets the chance to showcase who they are and their unique sound to Southwest’s audience. Consumers are given the opportunity to help each artist rise to the top by viewing their hometown videos at Southwest.fm. This year’s competition will end on February 21, so be sure to head to southwest.fm and get your votes in to see your favorite artist take the Luck Reunion mainstage by storm on March 19.
About the Artists
Ida Mae
British duo, Ida Mae, is known for its vintage Delta blues sound and fearless rock and roll grit. Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean are able to create mind-bending harmonies with their old school and minimalistic approach to production. Check out “Chasing Lights,” their latest single on Southwest.fm.
Gabe Lee
Gabe Lee is an artist whose music has a strong Americana backbone with hints of soul, country, and bluegrass duly scattered throughout. His lyrics cover topics like love, wanderlust, and divine intervention. If you love introspective acoustic-based music, vote for Gabe Lee and listen to his music on southwest.fm/luckreunion.
Jordan Moser
A multi-talented artist, Jordan Moser conveys his deliberate approach to searching late-night sounds in his latest album Long Night. Dreamlike with a sense of defiance, Moser has already made a splash on the overly saturated Austin music scene. Listen to his sounds and vote for his music on southwest.fm/luckreunion.

1 Love
A short 30 miles outside of Austin lies a hidden gem steeped in music history called Luck. When country music legend, Willie Nelson, first saw the property in 1979 during the filming of the famous film, “Red Headed Stranger,” he wanted to preserve and uplift the rundown ranch. As the years passed, Willie used Luck as a gathering place for friends and family to relax, to hang out, and to listen to good music. Today, the property has been redesigned by an experience-based collective that is determined to uphold the musical traditions of Luck’s past. Each year they host a live musical experience on the property, a festival which has cheekily been coined, Luck Reunion.
Luck Reunion celebrates both trailblazers and up-and-coming artists showcasing their Americana-flavored sound. Each year thousands descend upon Willie Nelson’s Luck, TX ranch in March, looking for fresh new music. Southwest Airlines has been collaborating with Luck Reunion since 2017 to support the rising artist community. Through this partnership, Southwest looks to connect with Customers and the artist community using the shared love of music and tradition that Luck represents. Not only does Southwest assist in preserving traditions, but it helps bring new artists to the forefront with the Southwest: On The Rise to Luck program that gives one rising artist the opportunity to perform on the main stage of Luck.
To be part of this unique experience, you can enter to win a VIP package to Luck Reunion on Southwest.fm until February 29. This prize includes roundtrip air travel on Southwest for a winner and one guest to Austin, a two-night hotel stay, VIP tickets to the Potluck Dinner on March 18 and the Luck Reunion festivities on March 19, car service to and from both events, and a Luck Reunion welcome gift. Visit Southwest.fm/LuckReunion/ to enter for your chance to attend this amazing event.
