It worked very well for us. We flew from CA to IN with a transfer in Denver and we used 6 of those Home Depot heavy-duty large boxes (18"x18"x24", $4 each). They all arrived in good shape. I think the trick is to use enough packing tapes to secure the openings. One of the boxes was opened by TSA and was re-packed very nicely with no issues. We put plastic wrap on two of the boxes but found out it wasn't really necessary and it actually made it more difficult to move them. I would definitely do it again.

Has anyone ever had an iRobot Roomba in their checked bag? Is it allowed for its lithium battery? Thanks.

Hello, I understand that cardboard boxes are allowed as checked bags as long as they meet the size and weight requirements. Is it okay to wrap them with plastic stretch wrap like the one people use for moving furniture? Thanks.
