Once you've earned the pass it's good for the balance of the year that you earned it as well as the entire next year. It is not possible to earn a pass in one year, and have it be good for the following two years.

There's one out there that will give you up to 80,000 CP qualifying points. Combine that with the 25,000 qualifying points SW is giving giving everyone this year, and you only need to net 20,000 more.
