As the airline with a Heart, we wanted to show a little extra LUV to our awesome Employees! Southwest Airlines connects Customers to what matters most to them, and we wanted to show appreciation to the People who make that possible every single day.   Southwest teamed up with Tiff’s Treats (both Texas-based companies), as part of their #CookieKindness campaign to surprise and delight Employees at Dallas Love Field with some of Tiff’s famous chocolate chip cookies. #CookieKindess is Tiff’s way of spreading kindness and showing gratitude for all the work people have done, especially during the last few years.       The Tiff’s Team passed out over 278 dozen warm cookies to Southwest Employees in every area of the airport and our Employees were able feel the LUV and enjoy a sweet treat during their work day.     In true Southwest fashion, Employees smiled, danced, and cheered with excitement at the sight (and smell) of the delicious cookies. Many even joined in the #CookieKindness spirit and took cookies to their Cohearts. We are so thankful to the Tiff’s Team for the soft, sweet cookie goodness.     It’s been a tough couple of years, but travel is back and the summer travel season is in full swing. Needless to say, the airport is a busy place! But no matter what, our Employees are resilient and they continue to serve with Heart and a smile on their face. Southwest is excited to partner with Discovery for the eighth consecutive year to bring the LUV of sharks to the skies for Shark Week 2022!   We’re chomping at the bit for Shark Week to begin, and we couldn’t possibly wait until July 24 for new episodes of heart-racing shark content! Starting July 1, Customers can sink their teeth into an exclusive pre-premiere episode of Shark Week for free on Southwest’s Inflight Entertainment Portal.   The exclusive episode, “Dawn of the Monster Mako,” follows a team of marine biologists as they track the top speed of the fastest shark in the ocean, the Mako, and follow the species’ hunting strategy.   In addition to watching the never-before-seen episode, Customers can brush up on their shark knowledge before Shark Week officially kicks off on July 24. Customers can watch three previously-aired Shark Week episodes while onboard: The Spawn of El Diablo, Extinct or Alive: Land of the Lost Sharks , and Air Jaws: Ultimate Breach Off .       Southwest Customers can also prepare for the most exciting week of the year by using the Shark Week AR filter on social media. Don’t forget to post your Shark Week selfies to your Instagram Story and tag @southwestair for a chance to be featured on the official Southwest Instagram page!   To access the filter, click this link on your mobile device:* How to use on Instagram: Search for the filter by Shark Week IRL or click on one of the direct links above.  When the filter appears, switch to the rear-facing camera.  Press and hold the button in the bottom center to start recording a video.  Tap your screen where you'd like to place the shark.  Add tags for @Discovery, @SharkWeek, and @SouthwestAir and share to your Instagram Story. As you know, our Southwest Heart doesn’t end when you leave the airport. It runs deep through the communities we serve. In Denver, we’re growing our reach and bringing our fun-luving spirit and Heart straight into the Heart of Downtown! With summer finally here, we are expanding our partnership with the Downtown Denver Partnership as it converts the famous Downtown Denver ice rink into City Skate, Denver’s first-ever public roller rink in downtown.   As the presenting sponsor of City Skate, we’re continuing to connect to Denver’s passion of celebrating the seasons with Denverites – whether on ice skates or, in this case, roller skates! You can lace up your skates and experience Mile High Heart with this fun and family-friendly activity. Skating is free and skate rentals are $7 for kids under 12 and $9 for those 13 and older. City Skate is open Sundays through Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. You can hit the rink through Oct. 2, 2022.   If skating isn’t your thing, Downtown Denver Partnership has you covered. Check out all the fun by visiting summerindenver.com.    Love Hits the Rink As part of City Skate’s opening events this week, we took a few minutes to showcase our famous Southwest Airlines Hospitality to two of our Customers who have a special connection to our brand. This past winter, Coulter skated onto the ice with his girlfriend, Alexis, but left hand in hand with a fiancée. Coulter and Alexis are longtime Southwest Customers, and Alexis frequently joined Coulter on his trips using his Companion Pass.   Photo Credit: Sarah E. Photography Now that things have warmed up, we’re helping them get ready for their nuptials with a fun date night in the city. They’ll be treated to dinner at Rioja, and we’re providing tickets to an upcoming show at Red Rock Amphitheater. We’re also helping them with their honeymoon by providing two round trip tickets so they can relax after their big day this fall.   Alexis and Coulter love flying Southwest to visit family and friends around the country, but when they’re home in Denver they can be found hiking, skiing, or enjoying Sloan’s Lake, Washington Park, and Platt Park.   We’re thrilled to celebrate special moments like this whether on a plane, at the airport, or in the Heart of the communities we serve.   So whether you live in the Denver area, or traveling through the Mile High City, we look forward to seeing you at the rink this summer!     ...
