First click on "My Account", then "Rapid Rewards" (red box in pic below)
Then in next screen under the Summary section on the page that comes up, you should see a yellow "Add Companion" button in the lower right section under the companion pass progress bar.
If you received the email, but don't see it, maybe you have to be on a desktop? just guessing here. Not an expert.
If you didn't receive the email, are you sure you followed the required steps for the promotion?
Be/become a Rapid Rewards member during the September dates of the promotion.
REGISTER for the promotion under your Rapid Rewards member #.
Book your flight (must be after the above two steps or it doesn't qualify).
Complete your flight during the designated dates September-mid November.
Based upon my experience, if you did steps 1-4 in the exact order, then you received an email shortly after you completed your qualifying flight, then received the email this morning (albeit later than I had been told by CS yesterday), then CP button around 11:30 a.m. EST.
I did mark this resolved because I am the original poster and the issue IS resolved. My spouse is now added as my companion and added to both of my upcoming flights.
If you are still experiencing problems and you know for sure you followed steps 1-4 above in the exact order, then unfortunately a call/tweet to CS will have to be your next steps if you don't want to wait to see if it loads later in the day.

@SoRo thanks for the update. I'm currently on hold (again) before you posted and I'm going to try to see if they can add my CP to my 1/5 reservation from their end- probably not because they usually see the same thing as I see on my dashboard.
As for the "snapshot tab", that confused me too, bec/I have no idea what that means. My email provided these instructions though which is where I keep refreshing (now at noon CST):
Designate your Companion:
• Log in to your account at Southwest.com®.
• Under My Account, navigate to the Rapid Rewards tab.
• Click Add Your Companion.
• Fill out Companion information and click Save.

Same here. I received email, followed instructions, still refreshing and no option to add companion. Why does this have to be so difficult? They offered this promotion months ago and have had about two months to finalize the lists and get things loaded to release this morning at midnight. What am I missing here (other than the ability to add my CP for tomorrow's flight)? LOL!

Just got off the phone with “Joe” at CS. He says the latest update to them indicates 9:45 am CST for email/posting to accounts. He said his first three calls today have been about this mess promotional CPs not yet being issued. I have been a fan of SWA for a very long time but I don’t understand how (what should be) an automated email and CP load to designated accounts isn’t happening smoothly. What kind of tech glass castle is behind the curtain at SWA? Staff tracking system, weather communication system, CP system? It seems the entire SWA technology infrastructure is in need of a major overhaul.

ANSWER: I spoke with a CS who indicated she had information stating that the promotional pass should load on 1/4 "between midnight and 5:00 a.m. CST" and there should also be "an email with instructions" arriving during that same time frame.

My promotional CP is still not showing in my account and I have to add my CP to my flight for Thursday 1/5.
I have not received an email with a link but do have the email confirming I earned the pass back in October.
I spoke with a CS rep at about 10:30 p.m. EST on 1/3 and she confirmed that I should see the CP button appear on my reservations in the system. It is now 1:30 a.m. on 1/4 and even by CST time zone it is after midnight and still no email nor CP button to add to my reservations.
Did anyone else with the promotional CP receive your email with a link to add your companion or see the CP button in an existing reservation to add someone?
This is my first CP experience so I feel nervous that I'm not going to be able to add my CP for the flight at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday 1/5- just over 24 hours from now.
