I was on a business trip a few weeks ago and connected through Tampa on my way to Fort Lauderedale. The plane took off on time, but once we were up in the air, the pilot noted that there was some mechanical trouble and we would need to land in Tampa. Needless to say, the packed plane was NOT happy. Southwest did a good job at re-scheduling all of us onto the next 3 flights. As I checked in the same day as travel, I was booked on the last flight (10:30pm).
A few weeks later, I received a letter in the mail with a voucher for $125.00 for my inconvenience. Needless to say I was shocked that any airline would do that. This is just one of the many reasons why Southwest is #1!
