Greetings Bill!
It's Caitlin, this past summer's EO intern. I have to agree with you that there is nothing better than cooking for the families at the Ronald McDonald House. Just a few weeks ago my friends, family, and I celebrated my birthday at the Denver Ronald McDonald House. Rather than spending money on dinner, I had all my guests bring different ingredients for the meal. We had so much fun cooking jambalaya, making corn bread, and frosting cupcakes. But the best part was seeing how excited one of the little boys got when he helped me blow out my birthday candles! It was definitely the best birthday celebration I have ever had! I have a feeling it will now be a tradition.
I would encourage anyone out there to get a group of friends and family together to cook a meal for their RMH local house. It is such an amazing experience! But watch out, it gets addicting! (I already have two dates reserved for 2007!)
Props to you Bill and everyone at SWA for supporting such an amazing organization. You truly demonstrate the SOUTHWEST SPIRIT and that SPIRIT is why I LUV Southwest so much!
