Regarding the questions about the infant fares. Southwest offers a discount of our "Anytime" fare for infants. So if you are booking a "Wanna Get a Way" fare online, the infant fare is probably going to end up being more. An infant can travel on a "Wanna Get a Way". My suggestion is when you are booking the adult tkts call a wonderful Customer Support and Service Agent and ask them what the infant fare would be. That way you can compare. If your fare online is lower, book the infant on that fare. On the other end, if you are traveling last minute and the only fare is the "Anytime" fare then call and get the infant fare for your baby.

I am in Southwest Reservations and I would like to comment on the dialogue that is going on. We understand, believe me, the frustrations and the concerns of all of you. We have strived to do the best that we can with the situtation at hand. We have no idea that ATA was going to close there doors until we walked into work the day they went down. It is devestation to say the least. My family was even going to book on ATA to go down to Hawaii with Rapid Reward credits, but like all of you other Rapid Reward members, we can not do it either. And it is extremely sad. But I want to comment that it is not just Southwest that is suffering. I am hearbroken for the thousands of ATA employees. I have had the chance to talk a ATA pilot who went to work and found the doors locked and a note on the door saying they did not have a job anymore. In todays economy that is one scary thing. The bottom line is that we understand and we know what you are all going through. Never doubt the concern of all us at Southwest Airlines. You guys make us who we are and we don't want to lose you.

Southwest really does like to celebrate every holiday and celebrate hard. I am in reservations in Phoenix. My shift is the closing shift so five minutes before we were suppose to end last night our supervisor sends us a message saying that Oklahoma City reservations was going down and that we needed to say avaliable because we had 100 calls coming in. All of us were freaking out. We had five minutes before we were suppose to go home and here we had to stay for over time. As soon as the clock struck 1am (the exact time we close) up pops a message "April Fools". Talk about crazy.

I Love Leah's Idea. I am a Southwest Reservation Agent and I think it would really cool to go all across the company and "do a day in the life of a ...." You could do all sorts of things like CSAs, Reservation Agents, Ramp Agents, etc. The ideas are endless. Also, I know in reservations, we get all sorts of calls. Good to bad we have heard it all. It would be fun to hear about the funny stories that we have during the day. Anyways, you guys do an awesome job. When it gets slow at work I love getting on the blog and reading what is happening in the company. Keep up the good work. Ã

I am a Southwest employee and I have the awesome benefit as an employee to fly for free. One of the rules of flying as a non revenue passenger is boarding last. I have flown a couple of different times since this boarding proccess as been put into place and have been completely suprised. When I am boarding last I like to sit back and watch how everyone responds to the new change and how effectivley it works. I have to be honest and tell you that I was one of the skeptics wondering if this was actual going to work. Let me tell you that we have awesome people who work with us and who came up with this. The last three times I have flown I did not see one problem at all. Everyone who was boarding the plane knew what to do and our lovely ground ops employees explained the process perfectly. This is why I love working for this company.

Hi Carole-
Your answers are awesome. I work in Reservations for Southwest. We get all kinds of crazy questions to. My favorite though is when a person calls to change a flight. We ask the passenger if they have their confirmation number. Almost 98% of the time they come back and say "No but I have my name." I always want to reply (but I have never to this point) "I am so glad you have your name." Thanks Carole for all your hard work as a Flight Attendant.

After some thinking I would like to recall my favorite "Office" moment. It is now is when Jim put Dwight's desk supplies in the vending maching. Watching Pam buy his pencil holder was extremely entertaining. The best is when Jim gives him a handful of change to get his wallet out. Awesome.

At my last job, I worked at an architects office. We ran through so much paper because we were constantly printing plans out. Our boss would get so mad at us cuz we were going through boxes of paper fast. We finally came up with a brillant plan to keep all the used paper. It took us 4 months but we finally had enough to fill his office with paper. We are talking floor to ceiling. It was awesome we had to crawl out of his window cuz we couldn't get back out of his door. Least to say he got us back but not nearly as good as we got him. :)By the way Angela I am a huge fan of "The Office" too. By far the best Jim prank on Dwight is when he put his desk in the mens restroom. Brillant. Anyways everyone have a great day.
