Thank You, Southwest Airlines, for the tribute to our Veterans.....the men and women who are currently servng and the men and women who have served. My son was in the first Desert Storm back in 1990 and was there the whole duration of the first Desert Storm /.Desert Shield. He returned from Iraq in 1991, as so many others did, with Desert Storm illness. Twenty-one years later he still suffers from this debilitating illness. While there is no cure as yet (except the label PTSD our government gives) but with ever so slowly our govenrment recognizing that something over there did affect our servicemen and servicewomen) ) I want to salute those men and women and all other Veterans, from wherever and whenever they served.
To those who struggle every day of their lives with the effects of war and to those lucky enough to have returned healthy....each and every one of you are truly heros.
Thank you,
A proud mom of a son who served our country
