I lost an expensive pair of prescription sunglasses with progressive lenses on a flight from Baltimore to Denver on August 23rd, flight number was 2509. I realized that I left them behind on the plane the minute I exited security. I was directed to baggage claim to attempt to retrieve them and was told that the plane had already closed the doors and was given the wrong phone number for baggage claim in Albuquerque. The plane went on to Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, back to Denver and then finally Chicago. I called each one of them just after the flights landed. I only encountered one person that I found truly helpful and sympathetic during the multiple calls I made to the various baggage claims and that was the woman who supposedly took my report, repeatedly I was misdirected and treated with brusque indifference. Ultimately they were not found or returned which I find hard to believe since I'm the only person who can actually see with them. They were the classic Rayban Wayfarer style, but the actual brand was Cutler and Gross, a London brand that means nothing to anyone but me. The majority of the frames are a solid navy blue/black color, what made them distinguishing was that the front of them had newsprint (black print on white background with stock quotes) on the upper half of the front of the frames. They were in a shiny black patent case that also reads Cutler and Gross on the inside of the case. If someone actually reads this blog or cares about retrieving lost items, please contact me.
