I was forced to retire, due to age 60,after flying 29 years for SWA. I did NOT want to leave because of my love of flying. Due to Kellie's encouragement, I got involved with Challenge Air, flying in two Fly Days. One in Mesquite, Tx and one in Oklahoma City (Wiley Post airport). It has been some of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It gives the Kids, their parents and siblings a break from their daily routine and shows them a world they may not have ever seen. In some cases, it helps challenged Kids realize they have the capability to do things and dream of a future they never thought possible.
I would enciourage everyone to check out the Challenge Air website and to become a volunteer worker at one of their Fly Days.
