PSP is an interesting thought, but no way can you fill a 737 going direct from almost any WN market. A hop through LAS or PHX on the other hand...
I just checked United's website for Jun 8 - Jun 10 tickets DEN-PSP: $434.40! By comparison, DEN-LAS/PHX-ONT is running at $160.80 on Southwest. If WN could operate something like DEN-LAS-PSP for the same price as going to ONT, it looks like a juicy, albeit small, market based on this one data point.
