WN should not charge employees, they shouldnt' even make internet available to employees!
I seriously hope that WN makes it an immediately terminatable offense for an on-duty employee to use any Wireless device in any way.
Sadly if internet access is available to employees, once it becomes installed on more than 4 planes, I can picture flight attendants instant messaging their freinds on the ground rather than doing their jobs.
Also I fear that pilots with the plane on autopilot might be tempted to get out a mini laptop or wifi cell phone on a long flight.
I can think of a couple steps to prevent this. If the sign on page asks for a name/PNR # (and verifies it from a list), that will prevent an on duty person from signing on unless of course they have access to the manifest. The credit card authorization page could deny employee addresse matches if they are on duty.
