I was lucky, I joined the family in 1982. I got to meet all the characters and legends.
Pinka, Sandra, Father Bob, Deborah and Disco Bob and others. It hurts to see them
leave, they should all write a book. Each could tell a thousand stories!

Kathy,
Hope you are doing well!
I have also missed time from work due to fun stuff and from moving passengers from thier seat to
a wheel chair. Recently, we have had advance knowledge of special needs passengers due to res agents help.
The problem is, most people are now online. Since i/m a non/rev kinda guy, I havent used the web setup. Is there a catagory
or selection for anyone that could use a little extra help? Advanced notice equals better service, ops can preplan flights to fit
what is needed or what is requested. POS rules, its the last minute stuff that slowes us down. Its amazing, you walk thru the
gate area after the in range call, its clear. When you preboard, there are three humvee sized untaggeg strollers waiting.....

I work in a different department than Sunny. She Is in the DAL HQ, I am in Ground operations.
I have been lucky enough to run into her several times over the years, she is a really fun, special lady.
There is always a crowd around her!
Colleen started the "Culture Club", several years ago. (Sunny is director, if you didnt read the top part) The results
have been amazing. It has really changed our station. There have been countless airport bbq/s and fund raisers to
help the military and local food banks and kids. Those iflatable planes are a blast to pass out. The kids "fly" them all
around the gate area.

Years ago, when security was easier and during the first "Gulf War" I worked a lot of military charters.
I had the chance to ride in the cockpit over twenty times. The take off and landings are amazing! Watching the pilots
from pushback to arrival gives you a much greater respect for what they do! They really use all those little dials and switches. lol
It is really sad that people are not able to ride "up front" any more. Its somthing you never forget.....

Many years ago, I was working in TPA. We had a hive of bees decide to make a cart of trash thier new home.
The problem was, it was right by a jetway. There were hundreds of bees flying in the area the forward bin beltloader would be
parked. Several ramp agents would be in that area unloading bags. I did not tell anyone that I used to help the beekeepers
on a farm when I was a kid, I just slowly pulled it away. It was fun to be "cool" for a few days!
