Someone stated that the average width of an economy/coach seat is 17.5 inches. That means if your hips are more than about 35-36" around, you too are a person of size.
Has anyone even ONCE suggested that southwest give its passengers of ALL SIZES a little more breathing room? No. Because that would involve Southwest spending money, which they don't want to do. It's abundantly clear they don't even want to hire experienced, professional public relations officers.

Are you censoring posts on your blog? I posted on your insult-titled last entry, "Not so silent bob," and my post never appeared. Strangely, all the posts supporting your "Person of size" policy and those describing horrible experiences sitting next to overweight people. I asked if you label very tall people whose legs are squished in coach seating as "persons of size," too. You need to re-evaluate your policies, stop penny pinching and and care about ALL of your customers of ALL sizes. Otherwise, your airline is doomed. This is not going to go away.
One last question: Is Cristi Day still in your employ?

This "customer of size" recognizes that the label of "customer of size" is completely subjective. I can fit in a seat and lower both armrests and fasten a seatbelt. Does that mean that someone at SW would think I was too fat? Who knows! It's arbitrarily enforced. I would never and will never give Southwest one dime.
I think this blog is fake, I think SW is doing the majority of commenting, it's obviously one-sided. And reputable, stand-up business organizations don't conduct these kinds of PR disasters on Twiter and a blog---they stand up and talk about it OUT LOUD to the public.
Thank you Kevin Smith for bringing this to my attention and I hope it just snowballs and snowballs for Southwest.
