More quotes from GHD:
You want a prediction about the weather, you're asking the wrong Phil. I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life.
There is no way this winter is *ever* going to end as long as that groundhog keeps seeing his shadow. I don't see any way out of it. He's got to be stopped. And I have to stop him.

I have heard that some folks stand in the "A" line when all the seats are taken in the waiting area. As soon as the lemmings get in line...they go sit in the newly vacant seat!

Raphael-- the website you are looking for is called bookcrossing.com. Through this site you can register your used book, place a sticker in it with the identifying information, and then the goal is to set it free! Leave the book someplace where someone else can enjoy it, and in turn, pass it on to someone else.
I have set many books free at SW-HDQ. I always hope that someone will read the introductory note and take the time to register their find at the website. I'd like to see their comments about books that I have read.

What? No comments about Herb's costume? Herb was nattily dressed in his business suit and fedora....along with his nametag: PERRY MASON. Colleen, of course, went as DELLA.

Vicki-- to your question asking for suggestions on where to sit for super-size (Customer of Size?) passengers--
I've always found that the first row (left/right of the aisle) has the roomiest leg room (for a non-emergency row). Also-- remember if you are a COS, you should purchase two seats, and ask the gate agent about a refund voucher. If the flight is not full, you are entitled to a refund for the second seat purchased.
If you are COS, you may request a pre-board if you need a little extra time to walk down the jetway to your seats.
Happy Flying!

So cool to post this type of information. I think it's great to share the technical as well as the Customer-service oriented information. It builds confidence that the company knows what it's doing and Customers can feel safe and secure that their Pilots know their stuff!
I bet you won't see anything like this on other airliner sites.

I liked the idea from a previous poster. Make the back third of the plane the "reserved" section so that people who want assigned seating will checkin and "know exactly where they are going to sit."
This would be the assigned-seat group who would board after the pre-board group. Then the A-B-C groups would have "open seating". The reserved seaters would be asked to move to their seats at the back of the plane, and then everyone else would board as usual.
It might make a nice compromise. What's that you say? You wanted to be assigned to sit at the front of the plane? Sorry, that's reserved for the "A-B-C" boarding group.
