How does Southwest expect to win the current bid with Frontier when Southwest has publicly stated a 20% reduction of the Frontier fleet? This equates to job loss. Southwest has further stated the remaining emplyees could interview to retain the job they have worked hard at for so many years. All this for a "shot' to start over again at the bottom.
Republic, on the other hand, has proposed expansion of Frontier. This equates to job protection. It is also job creation in an economy that has the highest number of unemployment in years.
Does Southwest feel, by increasing their bid by 57 million dollars, this overshadows the fundamentals Froniter has worked so hard for in the past 16 months?
It seems to me if job security was part of the binding proposal from Southwest, it would have been a dead ringer
