I had the distinct honor of traveling in CA One for a triple credit mileage run from LAX-SMF. Let's see who has flown on the most theme planes. I also flew:
New Mexico one from PHX-LAX
NBA from FLL - LAX (with a stop in STL)
Shamu (don't know which one) from LAX - SLC
City of Hope with the crayon pics inside from LAX to LAS
That is 5 for me!

The AAirline that technically owned all 8 types was American. They owned all 8 types at one time or another after the acquisition of TWA which had the 717 in thier fleet. I believe they dumped all the 717's (I think some went to Hawaiian and some to JetStar - but I could be wrong). American never flew the 717 in AA colors.
The answer to the bonus questions is TWA which owned the 717 - the only US Airline I believe to own this type - but I could be wrong.
The other questions are really making me use my brain so I am going to pass and go make a cup of coffee!

Paco,
Thank you for this post. I have a request that I am hoping you can route to the correct people/team. Regarding point number 4 from the first part of your post "internet and the modern person", you state that once you log into your rapid rewards account you will then be able to choose your cities to see if flights are available using an award, if you have one in your account.,
Is there any possible way that SW can "Un-gate" this feature so that the traveling public can see if award seats are available on flights even if they don't have an award in their account. For Instance, let's say I have 14 credits in my account and next week I am flying from FLL-MCO r/t and know that immediately following that trip I will get to 16 credits. I would like to do pre-planning and search award seats now, to get an idea of avilability, even though I don't have the ability to book the award yet. This way I will have a good idea of what days/times I can fly (even though I know it could change) once I get to 16 credits.
Most other airline websites allow you to search for award tickets freely. I would like to see SW do that as well, even if you don't have an award in your account.
Thanks!
Tom
