Odd, they definitely take the coupons (un-expired, which it sounds like yours are) in flight. Try again in August.

When she's old enough, I'll board at my spot and save her a seat next to me. Until then, we comply with the rules.

Gjlilley, it's not persecution, it's enforcement of the boarding order. My companion is my 4 year old daughter, and I'm A-list. When I fly with her, I board with family boarding, unless she gets an A boarding pass, and then I board with her (i.e. at A47 instead of A22). Those are the rules, and you really can't be upset when they are enforced (and I KickTail the GAs that do enforce the rules!)

It is not hard to check either at the counter or gate. What we have done in that situation is to keep the stroller/car seat with us, gate check the stroller, and ask if there are open seats to put the car seat in (by the window) for our child to sleep in during the flight. If so, we take it on; if not, we gate check it and hold the child (assuming you're lap-childing; if you purchase a ticket, you can take the car seat on). If you decide to check it with bags at the counter, package the car seat/stroller in something protective; WN sells bags at the counter for $25 (?) that are rip-stop and have served us well on hundreds of flights since we had kids.

Probably not, but check the expiration date on https://www.southwest.com/flight/travel-funds-search.html just to be sure.

It will likely post at statement payment/close of the statement AFTER the one in which you earned the points. If you're lucky, it'll post after your due date for this statement.
