We received an email from SouthWest encouraging transferring points from another account to our acct to "get the points you need to enjoy those rewards even faster." So we paid money to transfer points then found out that purchasing or transferring points DO NOT apply towards all rewards, especially the Companion Pass. SouthWest needs to update their website to make this very clear instead of burying it small print. SouthWest refused to refund the $, return the points purchased, or compensate in any way. My wife and I are taking a trip in Oct. I used our points for both tickets. I believe I will have a companion pass available by then. Can I use the companion pass for her instead of using my points?
