Sorry to hear your preferred route is being cut. Airlines change schedules often and sometimes it benefits a group and other times it doesn't. The best thing you can do is send Southwest an email from the contact us link at the bottom of the page that way they can hear that you want that route. You could also message Southwest on Twitter or Facebook that way they can pass on your route feedback I did some checking on your route and notice they do have some Sunday only flights in March and in April it looks like they have daily service again between ALB and SNA (with connections) so it may be just a seasonal route or a route where there are no connections during a part of the schedule. About the booking 2 separate flights you could book a reservation like ALB-OAK-SNA or ALB-MDW-SNA. you can book that on one reservation but it would have several stops based on my research and it would be like paying for 2 airline tickets to get there which can be costly. I would just look at different places you can get to from ALB and allow 45min or longer for a connection and then book from the connection city to SNA (this would be a point to point booking A-B B-C) Hope this helps Blake

Sorry to hear of the troubles you are having unfortunately customer relations is now closed until Monday and since you are checking in that means your flight is tomorrow which won't help in this case. your next best bet is to call reservations again and hope Nancy gets off of work or if you have Facebook or Twitter send Southwest a DM there and maybe they could help you there. If you call and get Michael or another supervisor who can help maybe provide a call back number so if the call drops they could try to call you back (if they are able to) I hope it gets fixed before your flight if for some reason they can't fix it I would reach out to customer relations on Monday so they can investigate. hope this helps Blake

So last year I was a companion which made it harder for me to re qualify for A List Preferred for this year but I was still able to reach A List. my status was updated with my downgraded status already (so they completed my account in less than 3 days) I think they just over estimate that to cover themselves saying it could take this long just like with partners it could take x weeks to get points but they usually come faster. I haven't seen any refer a friend promotion emails in awhile last one I got was in November of 2016 which was when I qualified for A List My sister on the other hand who is not A List got one late last year so I think it's random who gets that offer and how often and I wonder if status plays a role in the who is selected. I would recommend you look in your emails and see if there are any trends to as to when or how often you got the offer to refer people to join Rapid Rewards and maybe that could give you a good guess as to when you may get that offer again. Last year I was A List preferred and was made a companion I kept my origional RR number. Sounds like it made the companion a 2nd account. I would recommend you reach out to reservations at 800-435-9792 to see if they can get it fixed if they can't I would call customer relations at 855-234-4654. It will be worth the wait to know your companion will get the A boarding pass for the future flights. I got all my A List preferred benefits except the bonus points (as a companion gets no points), the flight segment credit and since the companion pass holder was not A List I didn't get my standby benifit since i had to travel with the compaion pass holder. Just to add to what @DancingDavidE said while some routes are seasonal some are certain days only like Saturday only or Sunday only so I would suggest to look at the low fare calendar and look at each day of a week in case there is a non stop on certain days but not others and check other months as the schedule does change From time to time (sometimes weeks sometimes a month or 2 that they keep the same schedule) as a side note if they have a 1 stop no change those usually aren't too painful as long as the stop isn't out of the way and you stay on the plane (unless an aircraft swap happens) Hope this helps Blake

I have seen this happen on my chase debit card from time to time as well it will come back. sometimes it takes a couple days I'm not sure why it does it though but it happens to me a lot on weekends and near holidays. your best bet would be to call chase and see what they say. @jjteran so I have some good news for you Southwest does have some free movies that you can watch on your device on wifi equipped planes (which is most if not all planes but subject to wifi working) all you need to do is download the airtime player before your flight once on board connect to the Southwest wifi on your device Open a new web browser and go to http://getconnected.southwestwifi.com and you will see entertainment options such as free live tv, movies, music, and even a couple games like sudoku. You can also check out the flight tracker or check connection flight information. if you want to purchase wifi you can do that for $8 but the items listed above are free hope this helps Blake

@rkatsouthwest sorry to hear of the troubles with checking in your family. did you buy there tickets on the same reservation or were they paid for separately? If you had multiple charges from Southwest that would make me believe you booked them on a separate confirmation number. I would double check the confirmation email to make sure there names are on it in case somehow you didn't book them. If there names are on the reservation I would recommend calling reservations at 800-435-9792 and they can look in to it to see what's up. hopefully it's just a case of overlooking and they are booked. Also if you checked in on the computer you may need to scroll down to see the other boarding passes. Did you try to enter there names to check in? I would try that as well if you haven't. Was your original booking made over the phone? I have noticed the couple times i booked flights over the phone i can't change the flight on the web. I also know some cases when you book point to point reservations it may not let you change your flight online.

I would HIGHLY recommend you reach out to customer relations in the morning if you haven't already by calling 855-234-4654 as they have more power to help compared to the reservationd department. I've used this benefit a bunch it's really helpful if the cheap flight is at night but you want to get to your destination early or if you are done with a meeting early and want to get home early. a couple other things to note about this benefit 1. It's only available to A Listers so if your traveling with a non A Lister they would have to upgrade to the anytime fare or travel separately. 2. If on a companion reservation and the companion pass holder or companion is not A List you won't be able to use this benefit. This one has been a hard one for us lately since I'm A List but my dads not but oh well we survive with our original flight when I'm traveling alone and I know I'll want to use this benefit I'll look when I check in the day before and see what flights have 8 seats or the most seats (at the time) by searching to book for 8 and that way I can plan which flight I want to use that benefit on. Then the next morning before heading to the airport I'll do an 8 person search again to make sure there weren't any major changes. It's also important on a connecting reservation to make sure there are seats on the connection flight because you don't want to get to the connection flight and be told oh we are sold out and wait for the next flight to potentially get you in after the original reservation and personally I don't mind if I board at C-60 because I know I'll arrive earlier so a middle seat won't hurt me too much. @perri I'm Sorry for the delay in getting the gift card it's never fun to have problems with an order like this. Here are a couple suggestions for you. Make sure your brother checks his spam/junk folder just in case it was routed there by accident and I would check yours as well just in case they sent it to you instead of your brother. did you buy it through the Southwest rewards plus where you used Rapid rewards points to buy the gift card? If so I would reach out to them. if you bought it through Southwest directly I would recommend looking at the email receipt to see if there is a contact number for the department that deals with gift cards. @Axeljohn To use a LUV voucher it must be applied during the booking process it can't be applied after booking. Since you just made the reservation you have 24 hours to cancel for a full refund and you can rebook the ticket using the voucher (at the current flight price). Have you tried booking the car on the southwest mobile app? If not I would try that as i have had success booking cars there and you can still use coupons there if you have any. Also you might be able to call reservations and book the car through them as well. Hope this helps Blake

One thing I learned with air travel is allow time for a delay for example if your attending an event at 7pm I wouldn't recommend booking a flight that is scheduled to arrive at 6:15pm because yes delays happen sure they may be annoying but as stated they usually don't just delay a flight just because and personally an hour delay isn't too bad it could be much worse like 3-5 hours and maybe on that hour delay you make up 5-30min depending on that padding the airline adds to the flight. Yeah I have only found it worth buying points if it was an expensive ticket and I was 2k short or if i was buying points for someone as a gift. Sometimes they do have a points sale so in those cases it might make more sense to buy points but that depends on the sale The big thing to note about buying points for those who are trying to earn status is you don't get flight credit when your booked on points so in that case a person would buy points plus the $5.60 tax and get no flight credits. Thats the main reason I wouldn't buy points since I'm all about status. Blake

@outatsea First off thanks to your granddaughter for her service to our country! If she checks in on the app logged in to her Rapid rewards account the boarding pass will be right there on the homepage she can take a screen shot so it's easier come boarding time because you never know these days when the app could act up. If she doesn't have a rapid rewards account when she opens the app and clicks checks in she should still be able to see the boarding pass and take a screen shot after entering the confirmation number. she can also print the pass at the airport after checking in on the app if she would rather have a paper boarding pass. it won't send the pass to you unless she types in your phone number to send the pass to which of course if it did send the pass to you then you could forward it to her. So if I am understanding correctly you were booked on a point to point reservation since it's on the same confirmation number from A to B and B to C and the layover is less than 4 hours if you look up your reservation it might say something like departing and departing compared to departing and returning that's the best way I have figured out if it will let me check the bag all the way through. I have done these types of reservations before and have had success with getting my bag checked all the way. If they were on separate confirmation numbers then they probably wouldn't check the bag all the way through at least in my experience. Hope this helps Blake
