Congratulations! I guess that you will have to fly another airline after the kids get over 5 years old. Because of the new boarding policies, no matter how hard you try, you will be in the third or fourth boarding group trying to keep your kids together on a crowded plane. Try getting in your car with three 6 year old boys, much less boarding the airplane. Oh well they can fend for themselves because they are adults at Southwest. Throw in an extremely rude Baltimore gate agent that exhibit disdain for kids, and two fight attendants that make comments like "there are too many kids on this plane" and "It's miserable today with all the spring break families." for a great time. It equates to an airline that has made a choice to discriminate against families with kids. Good luck with that plan. I fly multiple business segments a month as well as having kids, and I have many choices. Since March, this incident has directed 10k $ in flights to other airlines. Anyway congratulation on the triplets, maybe with kids you will have a inside view of the family policies at SW.

Like the old Dairy Queen commercials used to say, the weather can change in a blink of an eye. I've seen the temperatures be 90+ one day in February to drop to 20 the next evening.

I want to send a picture, but don't know how to do it, other than just mailing one in! Plus, it's hard for me to pick only one.
Interesting fact of the day: Chewing a piece of sugarless gum burns 11 calories an hour.
(I wonder how many calories you burn eating candy corn? *Hmmm. Scratches head in thought.*) :)

I couldn't find a thread that best fits the following but I looked under "Flying"
and found this one to be somewhat in the ballpark.
There is another great reason to feel at ease on a Southwest flight while it is in air. If for whatever reason there is a medical emergency, the flight attendants are already trained in basic first aid and CPR and have access to a service that can give them mid-air medical advice. While they couldn't save
the passenger on Oct 8's flight 1937, knowing that they could gives me comfort.

Sometimes its easier to complain then to compliment. In this case, I do both.
Please note my post of Aug 21 where I point out that the gift sent to Rapid Rewards customers wasn't up to the standards I have come to expect from SWA. Quite honestly, I didn't think this blog was the most appropriate venue to communicate my concerns but, heck, when you can't email customer service (you still haven't solved this!), you look for another way to get you point across, though I didn't think you would respond.
And was I surprised. I never expected that (1) my blog comment would be posted; or, (2) that you would respond to my comment in the blog itself (Hollee on Aug 22nd); or (3) you would forward my comment to another member of your customer service organization to take action.
To quote from of the wisest philosophers of our time, Homer Simpson .... "Doh!".
You did all three.
Credit given where credit is due ..... kudo's to Southwest (Hollee Ford and Micah Hankammer in particular). Today I received a replacement TSA approved bag (by FedEx no less) with a personal letter, signed with a real ink pen! And the bag didn't fall apart in my hands!
Can't imagine any other airline (and I have dealt with them all) coming close to this response.
As I said in my original post ... you are my favorite airline. And even though you STILL don't have allow customers to email customer service directly, you managed to to make me happy.
Your still not perfect. But you are heads and shoulders above the competition. You have a custoimer for life. All it takes is a little LUV.
Now, about expanding the number of short-haul routes out of SFO ..... 🙂

My husband recently traveled on SW with our son who is one. We purchased a ticket to ease the travel experience -- we've traveled several times with our son and other two kids. He was surprised to find that they were not able to pre-board. I always felt that the pre-board was a benefit to all involved -- the family with the child and the others on the plane. Get on the plane with all the extra "travel items" before other passengers arrive, find a seat easily with the child & also allows the other passengers the benefit of choosing whether to sit by a child or not. We've always loved SW -- try to fly it whenever possible -- but this was defintely a negative change.

I should have said I'll have to decide who will participate in different parts of the ceremony, such as the flower girl, maid of honor, etc., because I want as many people as possible! 🙂 For example, if Kim sings, he can sing, & if FA Carole plays an instrument, she can play one in addition to my church organist!

I need to fly to Dallas for one day for a funeral with my elderly parents. My father just had a knee replacement and it is too hard for him to sit in the car for the 5 hours there and 5 hours back. I was surprised to hear that Southwest did not have bereavement prices.

Thanks for so many great comments!
As Colleen mentioned I've started a new job at Southwest. YEAH! (So that should explain the delay in getting answers to your questions.) My official title is Manager of Online Products which means I'm handling the Southwest Vacations and Groups products. So more to come on those two topics...
So for your questionsÃ

Terry,
When we had a boarding pass kiosk it was only used 10-20 times during the day. Compared to usage of the full-service kiosk, it wasn't effective for us to continue with a boarding pass only kiosk. For Customers like you, we have line at the left end of the ticket counter that can help you with only a boarding pass. Check it out next time you are flying out of ABQ.
Thanks for flying Southwest!

Hang in there Joe! Only a couple more months of winter left for ya, right?
And, wasn't our previous paint scheme a little reminiscent of candy corn? (OK, we had red instead of white...and brown instead of yellow...but still, it was kinda close....wasn't it??) :-)

Speaking of Albuquerque, aside from green (or red) chile, I've been all around the country, and I think the best B B Q is at The Quarters. Their sauce is amazing! There's one near the ABQ Sunport on Yale Blvd, about 1/2 mile north of the airport exit, one in the NE heights on Wyoming & Montgomery, and one on the West side, State Road 528 , near the Cottonwood Mall. Try it, you'll like it..... Yes, the Owl Cafe does have great green chile (greasy)cheeseburgers and real ice cream shakes & malts! I think I need a fix....

Michelle,
Why did you wait until NOW to suggest that, after The Cookbook Committee has SOLD OUT of the Official Southwest Airlines Cookbooks?!? That would have been a great addition to Blog Boy's own chapter, which included Candy Corn Soup, Caesar Salad with Candy Corn garnish, Veal Candy Corn Casserole and of course, Candy Corn ala Mode for dessert.
I can't wait until next October when it is time for the State Fair of Texas once again. As famous as Brian has made his favorite treat now, I'll bet they'll be selling Fried Candy Corn on the Midway!
Kim 🙂
