As often as Southwest has IT "glitches," a full flight of people all logging in at the same time and trying to check in, which is unlikely, would be a very small amount of people compared to the total number of those using the Southwest system at any given time, so it's very unlikely that, even if it did happen, it would cause any kind of "overload." Remember that those connecting on to your flight checked in an hour (or more) earlier than you could. Fellow passengers like to complain about boarding positions. 😉 Anyone receiving anything but a low A one isn't happy about it, especially if they paid extra for EarlyBird Check-In. If you're A-List, why do you bother to check in at exactly t-24? There's no reason to, as your position is assigned at t-36. (When things work correctly, at least... which admittedly didn't happen this time.)
