Mr Lusk,
I was extremely upset and disappointed that SWA chose to change the best rewards programs in the industry. Yes, I realize that every airline is having problems meeting the financial needs of the company, but, it seems that you are penalizing me for buying a cheaper ticket for a flight. Some of us have to plan far in advance to afford air travel, and the old RR system rewarded everyone the same. Now, under the new system, I am penalized because I do not purchase the most expensive tickets.
For the airline that boasts that you are the perfect airline for the masses this change lowers your stature to that of American. I am truly disappointed. I know that I only earn one RR award each year and do not fly 50 times each year. That may not sound like much to you, but to some of us that's a lot of money. It must be nice to be a business traveler with an unlimited travel budget. Many of us are not that fortunate.
I urge you, no plead with you to go back to the old RR system; the system that rewarded everyone the same not by how much money each of us spends.
Sincerely,
JHH

Bill,
We thoroughly enjoyed your post. Some of us are old enough (?) to easily remember that TV show. Kinda makes more sense as we get older.
I have one comment, however. I would like to urge you to reinstate the AMA-ABQ scheduling. We make that trip many times during the year and now, without calling SWA, we cannot find any flight information for ABQ. We would appreciate anything that could be done to get this route added back.
Thanks..
JHH

Capt Ray, thank you for being so caring. Those of us who only fly SWA are truly blessed to have pilots like you who care so much.

It's great that SWA has such a great working relationship with Dallas, & I have no....repeat no....problems with Love Field. However, I do wish that SWA would consider allowing some of their regional markets( i.e. Amarillo) the choice of flying in to Love Field or DFW. The only reason I mention this is there are times when I need to connect to an international airline which is located at DFW....bummer. If I had the luxury of flying directly to DFW......rather than Love Field & then on to another major market like LAX or Houston.....it would take 1 less "bump" out of the trip. I don't know if SWA has a plan like this in the works, but I'd certainly like for them to consider it. And just so you understand, within the continental U.S. I ONLY FLY SWA.....I don't even consider any other airline. If SWA doesn't go to a specific destination, then I don't even consider that destination in my plans.

I have boarded in three different cities (ABQ, DEN, DAL) under the 'new' boarding process. I have seen that people have relaxed in the boarding area and are observing the new process very well. I have not seen any disgruntled travelers and no one causing problems. In fact, the boarding process is much faster than under the old system. Thanks for the new, upgraded system.

We urge you to continue with the open-seating policy that has made SWA our airline of choice. Keep up the good work!
