Hi. We had no problems with SW accepting the test results in the Cancun airport. Very easy. As far as the 6 pack, we had 6 different people use the tests, each with their own log-in identity. We have done this 4 times so far since the test requirement was enacted, each time without a hitch. One time, my test came back inconclusive (and fortunately we had a back up test or we would have had to go get a test somewhere) and emed sent me a replacement test free of charge. Amazing customer service!! On the inconclusive test, I am fairly certain it was my fault. It says to drop X number of drops into the little testing tray and I think I shorted it by one drop. The little bottle is VERY hard to squeeze and I couldn't tell if I did 5 or 6 drops so I probably shorted it by a drop. Keep very close attention to that. I didn't think it would be that sensitive but I guess it was. Hope this helps!

They have to say that because the tests are "prescribed" to the one person who orders them so they are just covering their @#$^% 🙂 We have never had a problem..... and hopefully someday there won't be a need for a test!

Even though it says it is for one person, we have bought the 6 pack four different times and 6 different people have used the tests. One person does have to buy them and then each individual takes a kit, creates (or logs into) both an emed account and a Navica account. Emed is the one who administers the test (they watch you live through your device's camera) and Navica is the app that the results go to that you show at the airport. It is confusing on the emed site but 6 people can definitely used the 6 kits.

One thing to note - I have recommended this product to all my friends traveling to Mexico and one group got "busted" in Mexico for having them. The customs agent said they were "illegal" and confiscated them. This is not true - I asked a Dr. there, it was just that one customs agent being a jerk. If you are going to Mexico, just try to "re-identify" them - they fit perfectly in a Ritz Cracker box! 🙂

You can buy them online at emed.com. There are some very similar test kits they are now selling at Walmart and other big box stores but I remember reading somewhere that those are not valid for re-entry into the US from international travel. The ones you buy online from emed.com definitely work for re-entry.

No, they did not turn us away. They accepted the test results immediately. After you take the test, the results show up on the app on your phone. You just show them that. All they checked for was the date the test was taken and the results. We ordered the tests online and they came in 2 or 3 days, I can't quite remember. Hope this helps!

We fly into Cancun but I am sure the policy is the same for all airports in Mexico. I have friends that live in Cabo and have to go through the same thing in and out of there.

To answer my own question and for anybody's use....the rapid at-home Covid test we used was accepted by Southwest and was a breeze to administer and get through the airport with. No Dr. appt or expensive test required! We travel to Mexico once or twice a month, we will be using the at-home test from now on!

Hi. We travel to Mexico at least once a month. For your seat number, you fill out your boarding pass number. There is an additional form at the airport you will need to fill out to present before you go through security. There are signs everywhere with a QR code you can scan and fill it out online or you can pick up a paper one at the check-in counter and fill it out. We ALWAYS have problems with the QR code so we just fill out the paper one, flash it to get up to security and they glance at it in security. It is the standard 4-5 questions....Name, Flight, Seat number (again, boarding pass number) Do you have Covid? Have you been around someone who has Covid? Country you have visited? Flight number? It is a small 4X6" sheet of paper. Have fun!

Thank you for responding. I understand what is required of the government (as we have already traveled internationally under the new requirements) I am wondering if SW will accept this at-home version.

Does anyone know if SW accepts an at-home Covid Test (ie: emed) for re-entry into the US for International travel? I know that they require a negative test but am wondering if the at-home test versions will be accepted? These are FDA approved tests. I know American and United accepts them and have heard of 1 success with SW after a discussion among gate personnel but would like to hear from someone who has actually done it. We brought 6 with us to Mexico - hoping we can use them!
