Southwest Airlines hits all the right notes when it comes to making summer ROCK in the Mile High City. Denver provides many vacation activities, from fine dining to sports and entertainment. The Southwest Theatre, complete with airplane seats, gives visitors a chance to see concert footage and documentaries about the venue and bands that have played at Red Rocks.
The 192-stair descent to the stage lines the benches that seat up to 9,450 concert goers. Music legends like the Beatles and John Denver have all performed at this beautiful venue. Located between the rocks, the concert area provides a beautiful view of the natural scenery as well as a glimpse of Downtown Denver. The venue alone is reason enough to attend a Red Rocks concert. Seeing the light bounce off the rocks and hearing the amazing outdoor acoustics provide an experience unlike any other in music. I had the opportunity to see a live show, and I highly recommend any music lover experience it for themselves.
