Herb Kelleher Honored by Department of Homeland Security
Herb Kelleher, Southwest Airlines Chariman Emeritus, recently attended the Homeland Security Advisory Council luncheon where he received the DHS Distinguished Public Service Metal. This medal, awarded by Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, is awarded to select individuals who provide exceptional public service to help strengthen homeland security. This award is equivalent to the Secretary’s Gold Medal and is awarded only in rare circumstances. Congratulations, Herb, on this amazing honor!
