Last month, Southwest Airlines challenged its S Employees to put their Heart in Action and help celebrate the official community partner of our 50th Anniversary, the Birthday Party Project, through a Toy Drive during the month of June.
To participate, Employees were asked to donate toys to the Birthday Party Project to be gifted to children experiencing homelessness around the country. And, WOW – did our Employees deliver!
- More than 2,200 gifts sent via The Birthday Party Project Amazon wish list.
- More than 1,500 Southwest Employees donated gifts.
- In total, toys donated are valued at more than $50,000.
- More than 50 Southwest locations participated.
We are thrilled to support The Birthday Party Project and our local communities! Our Employees were a huge part of helping bring joy to children experiencing homelessness through the magic of birthday parties.
