After a Southwest flight from Seattle to sunny Montrose, we grabbed a shuttle bus to Telluride. The ride zoomed by as we soaked in the beautiful views of the fourteeners (mountains over fourteen thousand feet) that make the area is famous. Looking at those vistas, we knew we were in for some wintry fun.

Over the next two days, we enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel Telluride and free gondola rides to Mountain Village that led to two glorious days of skiing powder, groomers, and high ridgelines. After hitting the slopes, in the evenings we relaxed with delicious meals beside one of the hotel’s cozy, outdoor fire pits. Our quick weekend getaway couldn’t have gone better. If you’re like me, you wanna visit places that impact you and leave an impression. Telluride didn’t disappoint. It is a top-notch destination that I will add to our list, and one I would recommend that you add to yours.

I was excited to be asked (and compensated) by Southwest to take this trip. I not only stretched my ski legs, but I also used my photography skills to document our first trip to Telluride. To help fully capture the trip, I meet up with Patric from Southwest's Creative Studio who combined my footage with his. He then worked his editing magic to create this video. Enjoy!
