(click on the pics to enlarge)  Okay...a friend of mine took some really cool pictures, so I thought we could play a little game.  The pictures below are two cities that we fly into.  What cities do you think they are?  The third picture is just cool.  What city do you think it was taken in? Chicago, Houston and someplace in Texas, but not Dallas because the grass is too green.

O.K. 1) Boise ID, 2) Tucson AZ, and 3)?? Kidding! Chicago, Houston, and I'll say Kansas City 🙂 although the only one I'm sure of is Chicago 🙂

First Picture is Chicago and the second is Houston because Minute Maid Park is shown.

Wow, the first one is easy... Chicago -- since the Sears Tower is clearly visible. The second one is pretty easy...Houston -- since I can see the George R. Brown Convention Center and Minute Maid Park downtown. The third one is a bit tougher...but I'm going to guess Houston as well, because this photo reminds me of the wide open expanses at Hobby. Kim

James, Thanks for noticing that I beat Stove by almost six hours, but you failed to tell me what I won!! Maybe Sunny will name N251WN ( http://www.blogsouthwest.com/2006/09/05/can-we-bottle-that-smell/ ) in my honor?? LOL Kim :) P. S. This is almost as great as when I kept winning the trivia question contest on a flight one time around the 25th Anniversary ten years ago. Except after getting the first five questions right, they disqualified me from competing any further so everyone else would have a chance!!

Houston and Chicago for sure....Don't know about the 3rd one...

Clearly, the first one is Chicago. I don't have a clue on the second one. The third one reminds me of when I was a kid and my guppies kept popping out new babies--is this how new SWA planes are created?

Bonnie, Well, I'm very impressed!. You're the first person in this thread who has been observant enough to have figured out the REAL purpose of those blended winglets. They are actually gestation areas where baby 737s are carried until they are ready to fly on their own. And, anticipating your next question -- yes, when you see some planes parked at the airport with little puddles under them, those ARE brand new 737s that just aren't tarmac-trained yet. Kim 🙂

1 - Departure from MDW headed east. 2- Overhead Houston 3- Amarillo. How'd I do?

Winglets? I thought they were riblets...a little BBQ sauce on them, they're delicious!
FriendofBlogBoy

Jeff, In addition to smoking in the lavatories and tampering with the smoke detectors, it is seriously frowned upon for you to nibble on the winglets or to add any BBQ sauce to them. Teeth marks will significantly disrupt airflow and at altitude, that sauce is forced off by air pressure and people standing in their backyards get an unexpected red shower. Fortunately for SWA, if they do find any planes with chewed up winglets or traces of BBQ sauce on them, they now know who to suspect first! Ha ha Kim 🙂

The first one looks like Miami but we do not have 2 dark buildings like that :( Did you post the answer? Thank
