Despite the fact that United Airlines has two non-stop flights a day from Tucson to San Francisco, a Tucson business man told me that when he had to make that trip on three-days’ notice this month, his airline of choice was Southwest, even though he knew he would have to make a least one stop enroute.
“I’m already going to pay the highest fare because it’s a last-minute ticket, I don’t want to pay for baggage on top of it,” he told me.
