Hi-
My husband is flying from East Coast to West Coast (stop in Denver) next week with a 13 lb dog...the SW carrier arrived today and it is SMALL! She can get in and lay down, but there isnt a ton of room. She is only 13 lbs.
How closely will they scrutinize? I am SO nervous they will be turned away.
Thanks!

You do not have to use the Southwest carrier, a slightly larger carrier can be used. The policy states, "Other pet carriers with maximum dimensions of 18.5” long x 8.5” high x 13.5” wide"
The policy also specifies, "The cat or dog must be completely inside the pet carrier and be able to stand up and move around the carrier with ease."
The entire policy can be found here"
