I purchased one of those hooks that enable you to attach a tablet to the closed seat tray in front of you like those monitors for the inflight entertainment that are on back seats of other airlines. Would Southwest have a problem with that? Has anyone done this or seen it done?

I am not aware of any reason that this may be a problem, with a few caveats:
- You likely cannot have it hooked up during takeoff and landing (similar to putting your tray table up).
- You might consider sitting by the window; if you sit on the aisle and someone on the inside of your row needs to slip out, it could be a pain.
Happy flying, and be sure to download the Southwest app on your tablet before your flight so that you have full access to the lineup of entertainment. Also, you might have a dowload available in case there are issues with wifi.

I had a flight on Tuesday where the person in 7A was using one. I was in 7C.
The FA's served drinks and snacks, and picked up trash, and must hve seen it. They didn't say anything.
So, I presume, per the caveats above, you'll be fine.
