I read online that Southwest is going to count some 2022 award travel toward tier point status. Has anyone else read this?

Does anyone know when Southwest will post these to our accounts?

Seems that those flights are already showing in the account.

Along with this announcement the email states you can register to have 2x tier qualifying pts added to your account for those flights "you book and fly by 11/30".

I have two flights coming up prior to 11/30.  I registered.  Would I need to cancel those flights and rebook them?  More hoops!

The way the promotion FAQ's read yes you would have to cancel and rebook, (I checked on a flight I have booked for next week the price would basically double based on current fares, I can't ethically do that as an officer in my company.)

I agree with your "more hoops" assessment.

EVERY SW promotion for extra anything  that I have ever seen has required a person to register, then buy, and then fly within the specified time frame.

This one is no different than any of the others.
