As I usually do, I just checked my upcoming itineraries for lower fares, and had a hit on one leg for a little over 1000 points. I went through with the change and received a confirmation email. However, my points balance is not reflecting any signs of a refund. My points activity SAYS that I was refunded, however my points total has not changed and is identical to the points total Southwest sent me in my Rapid Rewards account statement 10 days ago.
I'm initiating a support chat on Twitter now, but just wanted to send a heads up to other folks to watch your balances.

It’s taken a couple of hours for my points total to update sometimes, and sometimes it is immediate. Not really sure what causes one or the other
