Adding reservation made by someone else

Is there a way to add to my account a reservation made (for me) by someone else?  This would be primarily for enabling me to use the app to check in and board not so concerned about RR or anything like that.

If you have the flight's confirmation number that's booked for you, you should be able to check in 24 hours prior to flight time via website or phone app. You should also be able to manage the trip:

Check In:
https://www.southwest.com/air/check-in/

or select "Check In" at the bottom of the phone app.
(available 24 hours prior to flight departure)

Change/Cancel Flight:
https://www.southwest.com/

Click on Change/Cancel

or select "Manage Flights" from the left pop-out menu on the phone app.

For both:
Enter Confirmation # and First/Last Name as reserved.

OK, I can see that.  If I check in using the app, will that give me the ability to use the app as my boarding pass, or will I need to print one out at the airport?

If you look up your reservation you can add your RR number and then it will show up in your account 

On the app

1. look up reservation

2. where you see your name there is a pencil symbol click that 

3. you will see a spot for RR number enter it and save

Thanks for the help—after doing all that it now shows up in my trips on website and app!  (I added the KTN for TSA pre too.)
