I was just about to book online a ticket non-stop but there isn't an option to select that the ticket is for a unaccompanied minor (14 years old). I understand that there is an additional $50 service so do I have to call to make a reservation like this or can I do this online?

An unaccompanied minor is, by definition, 5-11. A 14 year old can't be an unaccompanied minor. Buy them a ticket, kiss them before they leave, and wave at them as they pass through security.
