PVC Gun

I'm going to a comic con in a few days and I would like to bring some PVC props. The prop gun does not fire or capable shooting of anything, but would look real from far away. Its made of hard plastic and PVC. I was wondering if it would be fine to bring it in a checked bag.

TSA allows people to bring real guns in checked baggage so I presume it would allow the

"prop guns" also

You have to declare the gun's at the counter, so would assume you should do the same with this one.

It is legal to bring that type of Gun even it is not real but shape matter in that type of situation.
