Companion Pass

I've never registered for a companion pass so I'm new to this.  I am booking a trip for multiple people.  As long as they all register for the companion pass and I enter their rapid reward #, they will still get their pass, correct?  Or do they have to book their own trip?  Thanks!

As long as they register before a ticket is bought, it makes no differen e who buys the ticket.
