@Nan3roc I DONT AGREE WITH YOU. I find it hard to believe that if you paid for the 1-15 boarding that you are ever past the exit door seats. If your dissatisfied with the process just say so, you don't have to embellish the issue. I've not paid for 1-15 in 10 years and never have had to sit passed the exit row seats, and that even when I ad A 59. I like the current process.

Seems unlikely that will happen since they are cutting 4 destinations in August. In 10 years, I've mentioned multiple places that they should go, SWA hasn't listened to me yet. I et it after a first quarter loss but wished they would have waited to see if things got right. I fly to 2 of the 4 they are stopping flying to.

I have an iPhone 12, flew last year on SWA and had no issues. This year I was unable to hold an internet connection or get the splash screen to come up. 20+ years in IT, I was destined to resolve my issue. I used all the suggestions without success. I then traveled on Alaska Airlines and had the exact same connectivity issues. What’s different this year from last year? I realized I had installed a pop-up blocker utility called Guardio this year to protect me from malicious websites and annoying popups. I uninstalled the utility, Disabled ad blockers in Chrome snd Safari and cleared my browsing data . I connected successfully after that.

It's great to hear that you have found sitting near the overwing exit, preferably by the engine, to be your favorite place to sit on Southwest planes based on your past experiences. Many passengers prefer these seats for various reasons, including feeling safer, having more legroom, and enjoying the view.
Sitting near the overwing exit can indeed provide a sense of security for some passengers. These seats are often closer to the aircraft's wings, which are typically considered to be one of the safest parts of the plane in the event of an emergency landing or evacuation. Additionally, being near the engine can provide a reassuring feeling of being close to the aircraft's power source.
Furthermore, seats near the overwing exit often offer extra legroom, which can contribute to a more comfortable flying experience, especially on longer flights. This additional space can be particularly beneficial for passengers who value comfort and mobility during their journey.
Overall, it's great that you have found a preferred seating option that makes you feel safe and comfortable while flying with Southwest Airlines. Remember to always follow the airline's safety instructions and guidelines, especially when seated near emergency exits, to ensure a safe and enjoyable flight experience.

Same thing happened to me. I've spent over 20 hours on the phone, sending emails, online chatting to no avail. Customer service is not only severely incompetent but also dishonest. They employ all sorts of obfuscation tactics hoping you will just give up- long hold times, hang ups, form letter responses that don't address your questions/concerns, unfilled promises to call you back, agent that "can't find your reservation", directing customers to phone numbers that are invalid. I've been documenting this whole fiasco as I am preparing to file a lawsuit.

I really hope they start flying again to Mexico City. it has been so hard to find a good airline that treats you nice and is respectful that flies to Mexico City.

I've be advocating for back of the plane boarding for years now, once upon a time I loved the back. I'm now more of a first 20 row person basically due to the lateness of so many flights and having to get to another gate. But I'd have no issue on this one.

Well, it seems the original phone call was about that- the fee they charge to redeem points got denied on the person's credit card.
They shouldn't have used the stolen credit card 😂

Greetings Everybody from SJC:
Flying today and landed in San Jose a short while ago...I was unable to confirm how the boarding order process went when leaving SAN this morning as my flight was the first to board in the concourse after passing through TSA and I was in the A group.
However, I stayed airside at SJC after arrival and watched some of the other gates board. Here is the order of the A & B in-between'rs that I observed:
WN 791 to STL: A-Listers w/o A position boarded after those needing extra time and Family Boarding, before military...same pattern as described in this topic.
WN 1809 to BUR: A-Listers, Family Boarding, and Military were cleared to board together after those needing extra time...different pattern.
WN 1466 to LAX: A-Listers boarded after those needing extra time but before Family Boarding and military...opposite of what is described.
There you have it. Not going to speculate on the actual policy but I would just be ready one way or another to board when directed to do so. Photo Trip Report to come...

What gets back to me is that I am one of the very silent people who occasionally calls and complains about policies. I am hearing that people are demanding partial refunds and filing disputes on their credit cards for partial rebates of fees paid. No one wants to follow the rules and then watch others break those rules when the employee stands there and does nothing.
Disney has rules, Alamo Rental has rules and so does Southwest. It is beyond time for these gate agents to do their jobs.

Do you remember your first WN flight and what was the route?
The reason I ask is although I'm not 83 (I'm 72), but I do remember my first WN flight: DAL/LBB in March 1978. Ahhh, the days of free liquor for all.

@Jack2act I know this isn't the solution to what you are seeking, but, here goes anyway. As a senior myself (67) I am for the most part able bodied and have never even had a thought of trying to get any early access to boarding. But just as a individual I take no issue with any senior getting any extra benefit, in good faith or not, for any service. The more elderly they are, the more I accept that.

We signed up and completed the round trip, but how long does it take for the promo to kick in so you get the CP? The promotion is no longer listed on the website. There was also another promo about getting double points from June through August up to max 50k using a SWA credit card, but that is also gone so unclear when those points will show up too. I realize maybe no one knows for sure, but maybe someone has gotten one of these in the past to shed some light. Or should I call into customer support?
There were 2 companion pass promos if you are talking about the most recent one once you complete the RT before the end of September you will get your companion pass in January

you very much sound like you’re against women’s bodies with the way you speak about them. we are not in middle school, women can dress anyway they like now a day. i don’t see why you had to mention families on board, you can walk out your house and see a man with his private parts hanging out so why are you so upset about a women wearing a bikini top on a plane. it’s not inappropriate, you are just sexualizing them.

Credit Card Signup Bonus: Consider applying for a new credit card that offers a generous signup bonus. Many travel rewards credit cards provide a substantial number of points as a bonus after you meet a minimum spending requirement within a specific timeframe. Ensure you can meet the spending requirement without going into debt.
Online Shopping Portals: Many airline loyalty programs offer online shopping portals where you can earn bonus points for purchases made through their links. Check if Southwest has a shopping portal and use it for your online shopping.
Dining Programs: Some airlines have dining programs that allow you to earn points when you dine at participating restaurants. Sign up for Southwest's dining program if they have one in your area.
Refer-a-Friend: Some credit cards offer referral bonuses when you refer friends or family members who are approved for the card. Check if your credit card has a referral program and refer friends to earn extra points.
Hotel Stays: If you have upcoming hotel stays, make sure you're earning points through the hotel's loyalty program. Some hotels have partnerships with airlines, allowing you to transfer hotel points to airline miles.
Rapid Rewards Shopping: Southwest has a shopping portal called Rapid Rewards Shopping. You can earn bonus points for shopping through this portal. Look for special promotions and offers to maximize your points.

Not to be unsympathetic, but the title should be; Don't lose your wallet anywhere and expect to get your money back. I've read on here where the opposite has happened and all things were restored and returned. Just in the case, sadly, it wasn't.

I'm only responding to this because this actually happened to me on a flight and a good story. Yes, you can take it on with you. Now my story. Let me preface, I'm an older gentleman, therefore, I don't keep up with the latest trends. At a time when bigger was better, I had always intended to get a new laptop. By the time I decided to pull the trigger, that bigger is better time had passed but found a great deal on a new one and my old one died. (forced to get one) Well when the flight attendant started talking about using electronic devices, he made a shout out to those of us who still (lol, my was only a month old) had those dinosaur 4-pound large laptops', Yada yada yada. I actually felt embarrassed and didn't pull it out like I had previously done. I still have and use that laptop but never bring it out anymore due to this one flight attendant. Yes, I guess I have issues, but they are self-implanted in my head on my own...but I still give SWA the love, only on a frustrated cell phone that makes me squint to see due to my limited vision.
The opposite - I had a Yoga 2-in-1 and when they said hey you have to put away your laptop I just grabbed it and yanked the screen around and voila, it's a tablet.
