Reduced visibility is creating operational challenges at Chicago-Midway, and in response, Southwest has canceled 46 flights this morning. Forecasts indicate the heavy fog will lift before 12 p.m. central, and the carrier will continue to monitor the situation. Southwest has issued a weather advisory for Chicago and has implemented its weather reaccommodation plan. Customers impacted by this morning's weather in Chicago can rebook their flight within 14 days of original date of travel at no extra cost.
