Southwest Airlines needs YOUR help in the fight for Red, White & HOU! On Wednesday, December 5th, Southwest Airlines filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for slot exemptions that would allow Southwest to offer nonstop service between Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). We need your help to get the slot approved!
Let the DOT hear your voice by signing our online petition! You can join the thousands who have already shown their support by taking less than a minute to sign the petition at www.southwest.com/HOU-DCA. (I did it and it only took 30 seconds!) These are the final days to sign the petition so take action NOW and ask your friends and family to do the same!
In addition to the outpour of supporters on our advocacy page we have many organizations who have voiced their support of Southwest Airlines’ application. The Greater Houston Partnership, Houston Area Urban League, Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Tri-County Black Chamber of Commerce, Texas Travel Industry Association, The University of Texas System, Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership and Greater Hobby Area Chamber of Commerce just to name just a few!
We have seen the positive impact of our collective voices when we were awarded the DCA-AUS route. Let’s, once again, show the Department of Transportation the groundswell of support behind our route application! Visits www.southwest.com/HOU-DCA today and let your voice be heard!
