PR News selects the top 15 young communicators to watch in the nation
Every morning, our Team receives a media report at our desks that is filled with the latest news coverage about Southwest Airlines. Even if a new Southwest Airlines story has hit the media outlets earlier that day, we already have a report on it. That’s our everyday experience, and thanks for that go to Ashley Pettit, our Communications Analyst--and I haven't even mentioned her smile or "can-do" attitude. Ashley has been with Southwest for more than five years, keeping the Communication Team and our Leadership on top of every story in the public eye. We’ve are proud to have Ashley as part of the Communication Team at Southwest, and we are thrilled that her dedication and talent have been recognized with her selection as one of the nation’s best 15 public relations professionals under the age of 30, by PR News.
The "15 to Watch" awards select 15 budding PR leaders and creative practitioners who are enthusiastic communicators currently working at a corporation, public relations firm, nonprofit/association, educational institution, government organization, or industry supplier. Earlier this year, PR News also selected Southwest Airlines as a Best Places to Work for communicators; this blog was inducted into PR News Hall of Fame; and we also received their Wow Award for the year's best out of the box idea for The Porch at Bryant Park.
