Usually when Southwest Airlines Co. enters a new market, its first step is to build up a customer base.
That’s not necessary in Milwaukee, said Daryl Krause, Southwest senior vice president, customer services.
“There’s an established market base there, with the kind of collapse of Midwest (Airlines),” he said. “We feel like we have a low-fare product to offer where we have an established market. We don’t have to go in and build it.”
