Here's a bit of fun for the weekend.  Try your hand at writing a caption for this photo taken in Las Vegas. (Click on pic to enlarge.) After all, you have a pyramid, a sphinx, and an obelisk to work with.  (Sounds like the start of a joke--a pyramid, a sphinx, and an obelisk walk into a bar...)

Trying to be first with the obvious joke: A pyramid, a sphinx, and and obelisk walked into a bar. The sphinx said: be careful of the bartender, last time I was here Egypt me.

News reel: "Southwest Airlines states that all hostages are free as of Friday morning after their Manager of Customer Communications and Corporate Editor, Brian Lusk, demanded that their flight from Las Vegas to Chicago circle the Luxor obelisk until the owners changed the name to the 'Luskor'. No injuries were reported, but the location of Lusk and the aircraft are unknown at this time. Born in 1952 and raised in Clovis, New Mexico, Lusk has been with the airline since 1995. Southwest Airlines declined our request for a comment on the situation, and differed the question to the readers of their corporate blog."

Brian, Candy Corn does NOT work in the slot machines at Lost Wages. You also can't cash in bags for chips at the poker table either. They will take Kit Kats, but no candy corn. I found out the hard way. Jedi Mind Tricks also do not work on the slot machines, although they may work on blackjack dealers. *waves hand* "you would like to hold on 13 and hit on 20" Jedi Blog Master

The AP had it wrong. Southwest will not inaugurate international service to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean in 2009. Southwest already has international service -- to the desert runway near the Pyramids for tourists convenience in visiting Egypt and its Wonder of the World.

Maybe some one out there can help me! I was departing this afternnon from Dallas Love Field and I was helped by this wonderful employee. He was a good looking young man with short dark hair with a well toned body and he looked to be in his late 20's early 30's. He was directing people to the ticket counter and to the ticketless travel stations inside the airport. Unfortunately, I couldn't get his name and I don't know what else to do but to fly back to dallas just to meet this guy again!!! LOL I felt there was a connection there and I would love to talk to him again. Is there anyone out there who has any connections to anyone at dallas love airport!

I know this isn't the appropriate place but it's impossible to get anyone on the phone. Why are you advertising rental car discounts out of Austin Bergstrom International Airport, and yet every time I fill out the form correctly and enter the promotion codes and make sure my ducks are all lined up in a neat little row, it tells me the discount is not available or there are no cars at the Austin airport? Are the promotions for real? I need to go to a funeral and since you don't fly to Shreveport and American wants $700 to get home, that 40% discount or $14.99 a day on Budget cars was looking pretty good but since that discount is mysteriously unavailable, I don't think I want to do business with either one of you.

Picture caption: Egyptian officials leave Las Vegas unsuccessful in their attempt to broker an agreement to end the Giza Amendment, a federal law to protect the authenticity of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Saddled with the wildly unpopular law, Nile Valley residents must travel to Nevada to see replicas because of the "7,000 mile rule".

I watch your show "Airline" as often as I can. The way you handle even the most difficult problems is very impressive. I have flown your airline in the past and hope someday my wife and I will be able to do so again. She has always been apprehensive about flying but got to the point where she told me where we want to go, if Soutwest doen't fly there, we are not going by air. We hope to start traveling soon, since we both are having health problerms now, as older people usually do, I am 65 she is 62, and when we do, we will surley fy Southwest. We would love to go to Phoenix on our first trip so we are saving now for it. Thank You Jim & Judy Rachell New Athens, Illinois
