Is there a guide for about how much $$$$ = how many qualifying companion pass points? We are currently at 87,000 out of 125,000 points. We have a few months left to qualify for next year. I know there are 2x and 3x points but lets say all 38,000 points are earned at a 1x rate. Approx how much $$$ would I need to spend to earn 38,000 points?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. If you're talking about the Rapid Rewards credit card, you earn 1 point per $1 on most purchases, 2 points per $1 on Southwest ones. There are also occasional point multipliers offered by Chase, for example 5x points on home improvement or travel purchases.
If you're talking about points earned from flying, you earn 6 points per $1 on WGA fares, 10/$1 on Anytime, and 12/$1 on Business Select.
Here's a great reference you can consult to help you maximize your CPQ earnings:

Hope this helps!
