I bought a ticket for me to fly in december. However, I just now realized that I put my wrong name on the ticket. What do I need to do to correct this?

It sort of depends on what you mean by "wrong name." If you accidentally used a variation of the name on your ID, then that can be corrected -- as mentioned just call, or better yet tweet -- Southwest, and be prepared to provide ID for confirmation.
If you mean a completely different name, then no, that's not something they can actually do, as tickets are non-transferable.
