UCLA is still in and on to San Jose. With Southwest's recent 3/11 schedule
changes it should be a lot easier for Ranger fans to go to their division rivals (Angels, A's and Mariners) on Southwest. Last baseball season you still had to use two reservations, two or more planes or ...

Yes, It is a very creative way to use unclaimed baggage to ID the baggage claim area. I look forward to Southwest adding more flights (in addition to the recently announced) to/from SMF.

In response to Greg's 1/29/07's 12:52 pm with regard to Southwest's plans at Dulles, I flew back from Dulles (IAD) on Jan 19th and there was a video presentation on the monitors that described Dulles's plans for the airport. There is to be two additional terminals to be built and two additional runways to be built as well. I see Southwest's plans for Dulles as being more long-term. I also see Southwest picking up a good chunk of the gates at the to-be-built terminals. But Southwest and their executives only know the true answer. But I do see service from IAD to look a lot more like it is from BWI years down the road but again Southwest know the answer the that question too.

I look forward to the 2/11 program which will be a 2 hour program (that starts one hour earlier than usual), where they will build a house for a 9/11 first responder. Did Southwest get permission (from France and others) to fly the couple to Paris (the couple that combined two households)?

Wow, Is Southwest considering adding Newark because of problems at Long Island? Just finished tracking a pair of flights (one to EWR and the other from EWR) The first was Flight 8602 that left Orlando (MCO) at about 5:20 am CST and landed in Newark at about 7:10 am CST. Then it left Newark as Flight 8008 at about 8:56 AM CST and is about to land in Fort Lauderdale (FLL). Or did someone from Newark charter the whole plane for the Super Bowl and it was sent up for Orlando?

Matthew, because other blogs are killing this airline it is appropriate for their to be a thread on this subject in response. I sincerely hope that if a organ tranplant patient of size can't afford his second and the flight CLEARLY isn't full that they would find a way to waive procedure since he would be refunded
his second seat anyway. Kathy's post is important in explaning how/why
Southwest developed the policy.

Kelley, I think that if every one with a toddler or toddlers exercise their preboarding rights (See Contract of Carriage) then those families with the youngest children will probably graviate to the front of the plane (your kid-friendly zone) by default. However because this great airline has open
seating there won't be a guarantee of this.

We will be coming through Chicago (MDW) on Monday (the 15th) on the way to Dulles (IAD) from Sacramento (SMF). This will be our first trip to see my parents since they moved. The schedule you have for Jan 15th was a great one. A nice 8:15 AM (SMF time) with a tight but not too tight connection with
a 3:05 PM (MDW time) flight to IAD. However, I look ahead in the schedule and notice that you changed the 2 SMF-MDW N/S flight departures dramatically after March 9th. The 8:15 flight become a 6 something (too early) and the 11:30ish flight became a 1:00 flight. That makes my 7 and a half hour flight day become a nearly 9 and a half hour flight day for SMF-IAD.
Please reinstate the 8:15 as a third SMF-MDW non-stop. Thank you. See
you all on Monday.

This photographer thinks that because there is both colors on the engine cover (I know that is a different name for it but I don't know what it is) that
will so be repainted in Canyon Blue. Is the photographer right or just a

Adi, With regards to which class of 737 you would get on an upcoming flight, Flightaware is a good resource. I have keyed in SWA379 to find out that for
Flight 379 usually but no guarantee that it gets a -700.

I want to thank the pilots of Dec 8th Flight 753 who took very noticeable actions to minimize our bumps on our flight to Sacramento. Actions that included adjusting flight speed and subtle course changes. Flying into the leading edge of Pacific storm will always have bumps. Thanks again guys.

Today I saw this post of a photo of N271LV (the second 737-700 acquired from Ford) taken Nov 20th in Houston, but I was expecting it to be caught in canyon blue. Is 271 currently working with this color scheme? When will be canyon blue? Or do you have something else in mind?
