Oh Brian how times have changed.. I think there is something in the air because after 24 years I am still single. No luck. I would think that being a sailor has its advantages but i was wrong. Well there is always next Valentines day. My hope is to fall in love on board a flight back home. My next try will be March 15 when i fly home... WISH ME LUCK 🙂

As you know being in the military has its many challenges, but i can say that flying Southwest is no challenge at all. Your airline has so many heros that have helped me get home to my family. Your employees have always gone above and beyond for me. Here is to all the employees at SAN AND ABQ and all of the inflight crews that make me feel right at home. God bless and happy Valentine's day.

Brian,
I guess you are the true blog boy.. Way to help out a customer. If you are an angry customer please do not be a popinjay when you are blogging. It offends me.. Southwest has gone above and beyond their call of duty for me and Colleen's speech truly reflects that.. No company is perfect,.

ROSE,
Don't be so mean.... I know you are cheap, but if you can get coffee from starbucks i am sure you can afford Southwest Airlines low prices. By the way Southwest has yet to lay off anyone... hope to see you in the air soon..

Thanks for the info. Some guy in a different post offered to pay Southwest Airlines fuel bill. Perhaps he should read this and maybe just maybe he might rethink his offer.

I also wanted to say that I am not getting tired of reading your blog entries. You seem to create a buzz everytime you write. Well I am out to sea onboard this wonderful aircraft carrier and look forward to flying home to see my family and as always i can count on my extended family, Southwest airlines getting me home... see you soon.

Rob,
Is there anything else going good in the world? The reason Southwest does not accept e-mails is because they like to personally write back to the customers. I wrote in a complaint and within a month a got a personal letter from Colleen and a voucher. She did not have to do that but she did. Also every year they send me a birthday card. Southwest has gone above and beyond for me and millions of other customers. No company is perfect.
Tom,
I do not think you want to see their gas bill. Yes, they are hedged, but it is less and less as the years progress. They are still a for profit company so they need to raise fares to make money. A roundtrip fare from SAN TO ABQ cost me 207.00 last year now it is up to 307.00. However my pay has gone up fifteen percent so all is good. after all we can't be too self-fish.

Rob,
I think you have a honest point and i can see your fustration. However, like the previous writers explained it is all about supply and demand. I know Southwest has been kind to New Orleans and has gone above and beyond their call of duty. More flights will come when more people move back.

GIVE IT A REST ALREADY!!!! I DARE YOU GUYS TO BOOK ON ANY OTHER AIRLINE AT THE LAST MINUTE AND SEE WHAT KIND OF FARE YOU PAY. PRICES ARE GOING UP BECAUSE COSTS ARE GOING UP.. WOW, YES IT IS CALLED INFLATION.. WE ARE LIVING IN A GROWING ECONOMY WERE, YES YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR CERTAIN SERVICES. SOUTHWEST IS A FOR PROFIT COMPANY... I DO NOT THINK ANYONE OF YOU GUYS WOULD LIKE TO PAY THEIR GAS BILL. CHEERS TO SOUTHWEST.. A VERY HAPPY RR MEMBER.

Please offer I direct flight from ABQ..... You guys still won't offer non-stop flights from ABQ TO DEN.. Why???????????????????????????????????

yes, all of the good tickets were sold out in a matter of minutes.. it is cheaper to fly to Albuquerque from SAN on other airlines right now. but in the end Southwest still provides great service. I will have to stay loyal to Southwest even if i have to pay a few extra dollars... Hey Mike, try your luck next Tuesday maybe the good prices will return..

an end of an era. I first saw that famous ad in "Nuts". He paved the way for Southwest to be one of the most beloved and successful airlines in the world.

while most executives are giving themselves raises and at the same time laying off their workers, Southwest continues to compensate their workers with job security. You have very humble leaders. here is to 35 more years..

Come on people, give it a rest.. Bill I accept your apology, and look forward to flying with Southwest. I think we are too spoiled in this country. Whenever I do not get what i want i cry....boo hoo... to the mean customer, no i will not sell my shares from Southwest. I will always be loyal, they really know how to take care of their customers. See you in the air soon. To the rest, enjoy the other airlines, especially when you have to pay for a pillow 🙂

I call on all Southwest airlines customers to calm down. We will be able to book past May one day. I also think that there are other matters in this world far more important.

Still not making any sense..... As you can see there are a lot of valued customers waiting to make their summer plans but they cannot all because you do not to force your reservations agents to do more work. Come on, i need a better answer then that... Now by the time you release your new schedule, it will be booked up solid, there goes all of the low fares. I still love you guys, i just do not like your spin on this... see you soon.

I think it is to easy to blame Southwest Airlines for someone else's choice of lifestyle. It is like blamming Mcdonalds for being fat. I think Southwest is more then fair with its policy.

Not making any sense to me. I need a breakdown. Southwest flies more people then anyother airline. People like to plan in advance, usually we like to stick with our plans. If i need to change my flight, i can do it online, so once again how does this cost you?? either i feel really stupid right now or really smart.... can someone write a book for me... how to read a blog for dummies.... I am going on deployment and i already know when we will be coming home, yet i cannot book the flight ahead of time, yet on other airlines i would be able to. I won't book on other airlines because they will never live up to Southwest Airlines standards.. This blog is intense.... i challenge you to a blogging duel..

Maybe i need to re-read that post. I am confused?? How does this save you money? I would think that the more bookings you have the more money you would have in advance. The other airlines, while barely profitable allow you to book several months in advance. Also, it is true that when you offer only a limited amount of seats, all of the low fares get sold out in a matter of minutes. Perhaps you can give me more insight. Also, i want to know... Why is it more expensive to fly from SAN-ABQ, then SAN-BWI? BWI is a bigger airport, but i just do not get it??
